Scapegoat

My work is a fusion of the technical discipline of Northern Renaissance printmakers, particularly Albrecht Dürer, with the ecstatic and fragmented lore surrounding Dionysus and the scapegoat. The influence of Northern Renaissance printmakers, known for their meticulous attention to detail and innovative use of printmaking techniques, is evident in the precision and depth of my work. By utilizing traditional printmaking techniques, I harness the medium’s tactile, time-bound nature to reflect on themes that remain relevant today.  I delve into the tension between order and chaos, precision and surrender, by examining the scapegoat ritual used in literature.
